The Director ensures the warm, caring learning environment and oversees age-appropriate activities aligned with NAEYC standards and New Mexico guidelines. This full-time position includes shadowing the current Director during a transition, with a salary range of $50,000 to $70,000, comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field.
• Administrative certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education with teaching background.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface well with families, teaching staff and church leadership.

Responsibilities

Full-Time St. Luke Lutheran Church/St. Luke Preschool - Albuquerque, NM 9100 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87112

St. Luke Preschool, a nationally accredited Christian preschool that is a mission and a ministry of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Director who will continue to enhance the warm and caring learning environment of its well established preschool community. The Preschool Director leads a team of administrative and teaching staff and works alongside a governing committee and church leadership to carry out the operations of the school. Strong communication and organizational skills are needed to work closely with families, teaching staff, and the church leadership teams. The Director oversees the engagement of children in age appropriate learning activities and experiences based on NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) standards and New Mexico Learning Guidelines.

Status: Full time, with an initial period of several months to shadow current Director

Pay Range: salaried, in the range of $50,000-$70,000, TBD based on years of experience and education in Early Childhood Education

Required Qualifications:

• Be a practicing Christian, professing faith in the triune God
• Hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field
• Have an Administrative Certificate or a willingness to obtain one
• Have 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education, with a background in teaching
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface well with all entities
• Work well as member of a team
• Pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hold a master's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field
• Be knowledgeable and have experience with the ECECD state licensing and NAEYC accreditation processes.
