Job summary

The Learning Experience - Omaha, NE -Antler View is seeking a part-time Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals for preschoolers. You will adapt menus, manage food allergies, and ensure safe handling while coordinating with staff to maintain inventory and deliver friendly service to families.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 1+ year cooking experience, and can obtain a food handling certificate within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals for preschool children meeting nutritional requirements.
• Maintain and track food allergies for each child and communicate allergies with teachers daily.
• Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with Leadership to purchase food and supplies and keep inventory records.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward parents and children.
• Be flexible and adaptable to daily business needs of a childcare center.
