Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of cooking experience, plus the ability to obtain a food handling certificate within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals for preschool children.
• Maintain and track food allergies for each child and communicate allergies to teachers with every delivery.
• Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with leadership to purchase food and keep inventory records as required.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude to parents and children; communicate effectively.
• Be flexible and adaptable to daily childcare center needs.
