The Learning Experience in Greenwood, IN is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our childcare team. You will plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals for preschool children, ensuring nutritional standards and allergy awareness, while partnering with teachers to support daily classroom activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety, managing inventories, and communicating allergies to staff. A high school diploma and 1+ year cooking experience are required, with a food handling

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals for preschool children that meet nutritional requirements.
• Maintain and track food allergies for each child and communicate allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery.
• Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with Center Leadership to purchase food and supplies and keep inventory per local/state requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children; communicate effectively.
• Be flexible and adaptable to daily business needs of a childcare center.
