Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring a part-time Preschool Cook to join our team and help create a joyful environment for children. You will plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals for preschoolers while tracking allergies and following safety procedures.

Compensation: $15.00-$16.00 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma, 3 months kitchen experience, the ability to lift 25 lbs, and a food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals for preschool children.
• Maintain and track food allergies for each child and communicate allergies to teachers.
• Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with Center Leadership to purchase food and keep inventory records.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward parents and children.
• Be flexible and adaptable to daily business needs of a childcare center.
