Job summary

CenClear is seeking a Preschool Classroom Teacher to join our Early Childhood team in Hyde, PA. This full-time, salaried role offers 40 hours per week across 44 weeks with holidays, leave, and comprehensive benefits.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a bachelor's in Elementary Education with related coursework. Clearances are required prior to hire, and a strong commitment to working with children and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in early childhood/related field as stated.
• Experience working with children and families as described.
• Must obtain PA clearances prior to hire (police, child abuse, FBI) and mandated reporter certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide six hours of daily classroom instruction (Mon-Fri).
• Oversee classroom operations and management; supervise staff.
• Implement curriculum and conduct child assessments; engage with parents in conferences and visits.
• Maintain confidentiality and encourage family engagement in program governance.

What You’ll Do:

• Work 40 hours per week, 44 weeks per year (42 weeks of work plus ten paid holidays)
• Provide six hours of daily classroom instruction (Monday-Friday)
• Oversee classroom operations and management
• Manage classroom staff and provide direct supervision to support roles within their assigned classroom.
• Implement curriculum and conduct child assessments
• Engage with parents through 2 parent conferences and 2 home visits a year.
• Support parents in their role as the child's advocate, first and most important teacher
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency policy
• Encourage family engagement in program governance by participation in planning, center parent meetings and policy council.
• Assist families in identifying resources, needs and methods of achieving their goals
• Support families in the transition from their current program into the next environment for the child
• Implement PBIS strategies through the framework of the Pyramid Model
• Implement Al's Pals to support social emotional development
• Develop professional relationships with co-workers, Early Intervention Providers, district personnel and community partners
• Collaborate with co-workers in planning classroom activities, parent trainings and field trips
• Adhere to program guidelines and requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Associate degree Early Childhood or a related field with coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education; or
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PK-4), Early Childhood, or a Bachelor's degree in related field with coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood/Elementary Education (PK-4)
• Experience working with children and families
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
