Job summary

NEMCSA is hiring a Preschool Classroom Aide to help create a safe, engaging classroom where children can learn and grow for kindergarten readiness. You will support development across social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical areas, and work with families to ensure student success.

The role requires comfort with active classroom duties, flexibility in hours, and the possibility of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience caring for or working with young children preferred.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations.
• Partner with families through communication, conferences, and home visits.
• Promote children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school readiness goals.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
