Job summary

Building Blocks Child Care Center, Inc. in Pullman, WA is seeking a Teacher's Aide to support high-quality childcare. Start date is ASAP with a wage of $17.15/hour and Monday–Friday 11:30am–3:30pm schedule.

You will assist in educational activities, document progress, and help maintain a positive learning environment for children. The role requires a HS diploma or GED, some college with classroom childcare experience, and mandatory trainings (DCYF clearance, MERIT, Safe Sleep, Mandated Reporter)

Qualifications

• Background clearance through DCYF.
• MERIT registration (ECE professional registry).
• Safe Sleep training certification.
• Mandated Reporter training certification.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college in a classroom childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Children and Staff involves creating a caring environment, assisting in educational activities, and helping develop positive relationships with families.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children.
• Assist in implementing educational programs and designing activities based on children's interests.
• Observe and document children's interests and progress and share with parents and staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and ensure materials are accessible.
• Engage in daily activities and support the overall educational experience.
• Model good hygiene and smooth transitions from home to center.
