Job summary

The Pillars Grapevine-Colleyville seeks a Preschool Children's Ministry Teacher (Mission Coach) to support the Director of Spiritual Development and to lead the center's Spiritual Development Curriculum. You will mentor teachers, participate in after-school needs, and foster a strong sense of community.

You will guide spiritual development, lead chapel and faith-based experiences, and partner with families in faith formation, ensuring a nurturing, Christ-centered environment for children.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching teachers in curriculum delivery and spiritual development.
• Ability to mentor and lead classroom teams daily.
• Experience engaging families in faith-based activities.

Position: Preschool Children's Ministry Teacher (Mission Coach)

We are looking for a Mission Coach to support the Director of Spiritual Development and our team members by leading the Spiritual Development Curriculum efforts at the center level. This position also assists with various needs of our after-school programs. Our Mission Coach provides spiritual support and guidance for team members, children, and their families by maintaining a visible presence and fostering a strong sense of community.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Spiritual Development in ensuring the center complies with federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements
• Ensure the Spiritual Development Curriculum is delivered as intended and that teachers can effectively articulate what children are learning
• Facilitate training and mentorship on curriculum implementation, spiritual development, and excellence expectations at The Pillars Christian Learning Center
• Maintain a presence in the classrooms, mentoring and modeling spiritual development programming for teacher
• Train, motivate, and lead team members daily, assisting center management with onboarding new team members regarding the Spiritual Development curriculum and programming
• Conduct monthly classroom observations of daily devotion activities and provide timely feedback to the Director
• Communicate weekly with parents through ProCare, sharing details and pictures of children participating in activities
• Send home evidence of learning after each activity when applicable
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and optimize learning experiences for all children
• Participate in activities and events that highlight Enrichment Programs to promote enrollment before the start of classes and during all family engagement events
• Teaching biblical truths
• Leading chapel
• Supporting prayer and worship
• Coaching teachers on spiritual development
• Facilitating faith-based experiences like Journey to the Cross and A Night in Bethlehem

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meets HHS and DFPS caregiver qualifications (age, background check, medical clearance, annual training)
• Previous teaching or childcare experience (preferred)
• Early Childhood Education coursework or certification (preferred)
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (if transporting children) (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Active classroom environment: frequent sitting, standing, kneeling, bending
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs as needed
• Maintain clear visual and auditory supervision of children
