The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking an experienced Center Director to lead our preschool operations, support our teaching team, and deliver exceptional experiences for children and families.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes strong operations, curriculum quality, enrollment growth, and a positive center culture. The ideal candidate will manage staff, ensure licensing compliance, and drive community engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in licensed childcare/preschool settings.
• Strong knowledge of licensing, staffing, and classroom quality.
• Ability to coach, develop, and retain a high-quality team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the childcare center.
• Lead, coach, develop, and support teachers and center leadership.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-quality staff.
• Maintain appropriate staffing, classroom ratios, and scheduling.
• Ensure NJ childcare licensing, health, and safety compliance.
• Support implementation of LEAP Curriculum.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Support tours, enrollment, onboarding, and retention.
• Monitor center performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain licensing, staffing, and documentation.
