The Goddard School in Wilmington, DE seeks a motivated Director to lead our nationally accredited, 5-star preschool.

You will oversee staff development, daily operations, budgeting, licensing compliance, and family relations while fostering a loving, educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate holds a Delaware Director certificate and a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary Education required or strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as a director in a preschool setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong positive relationships with families by meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Staff management and development.
• Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate highly effective organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
• Oversee preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations.
