Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is hiring a Bus Aide to support transport safety and learning on school buses serving ECD programs for children ages 0-5. You will assist the Bus Driver and Facilities Custodian, facilitate classroom-aligned activities, and monitor behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.

The role emphasizes health and safety, clear communication with children, families, and staff, and promoting school readiness across diverse settings in Texas and New Mexico.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; CDA preferred.
• Six months experience/training with children ages 0-5 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Texas/NM driver's license with restrictions-free is preferred for respective centers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bus Driver/Facilities Custodian to ensure safety and compliance on the school bus.
• Provide educational activities that complement classroom learning.
• Supervise children at all times and enforce conduct and safety rules.
• Maintain health and safety standards to create an optimum learning environment.
• Promote school readiness for children and families.
