Job summary

Anderson Center for Autism in New York is seeking a Preschool Behavior Analyst to lead evidence-based classroom systems and behavioral programming for young children with autism. You will coach teachers, perform data-driven assessments, and develop targeted instructional strategies aligned with IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field required.
• BCBA certification in good standing or active pursuit with eligibility to sit for the exam.
• New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities Birth–Grade 2 preferred.
• Experience with preschool-aged children with ASD and other developmental disabilities.
• Experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs.
• Knowledge of VB‑MAPP or similar assessment tools.
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, instructional design, behavior support systems, and educational best practices.
• Ability to train, support, and mentor educational staff.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teachers and educational leadership to develop, implement, and maintain evidence-based classroom systems and instructional programming.
• Conduct ongoing classroom observations, assessments, and data analyses to evaluate progress and adjust programming.
• Develop IEP‑aligned instructional strategies and classroom supports addressing communication, social, academic, behavioral, and adaptive skills.
• Coach and mentor teachers and classroom teams with training and feedback on evidence-based practices.
• Utilize BST methodologies to ensure staff competency in instructional techniques and behavior support procedures.
• Administer, analyze, and interpret assessment data to guide decision‑making.
• Support development and monitoring of behavior intervention strategies and data collection systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high‑quality services across programs.
• Provide leadership in staff development, performance management, and monthly professional development.
