Job summary

The Providence Center seeks an Associate Teacher to collaborate with Lead Teachers and deliver a developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum for the Imagine Preschool extended day program. The role supports routines, fosters positive relationships with children and families, and uses assessment data to guide curriculum and learning.

The position emphasizes inclusive practices, health and safety, and participation in trainings to support program goals and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher with relevant child development coursework and supervised teaching experience.
• Knowledge of child development for ages 0–5.
• CPR and First Aid certification maintained and renewed as needed.
• Ability to build respectful, collaborative relationships with families.
• Strong communication skills with families and colleagues.
• Ability to implement developmentally appropriate, play‑based curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist in lunch set up and clean up in classrooms adhering to infection control protocols.
• Implement daily routines, schedules, and learning experiences in Imagine Preschool extended day program.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers to provide continuity in programming from Pre K to extended day program.
• Develop positive relationships with colleagues, families, and children.
• Use evidence-based practices to support social/emotional, language, physical and cognitive development.
• Support and model respectful relationships within Imagine Preschool environments.
• Use assessment data to inform curriculum and guide learning.
• Support parent engagement and inclusion of children with disabilities.
• Attend trainings and mandatory meetings and complete required reports.
