Job summary

One City Schools seeks a Preschool Assistant Teacher to guide 2-3 year olds through foundational learning using AnjiPlay in a warm, nurturing classroom at Madison. This full-time role involves designing developmentally appropriate play-based experiences, leading instruction, and supporting children's growth across multiple domains.

You will foster language, cognitive readiness, social-emotional skills, and independence while partnering with families to promote kindergarten readiness.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, and be registered or willing to register with the Wisconsin Child Care Registry.
• Experience with infants/toddlers and diverse populations is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active classrooms.
• Familiarity with play-based learning and AnjiPlay methods is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver play-based AnjiPlay curriculum experiences for ages 2–3.
• Lead classroom instruction and mentor young learners in foundational skills.
• Support cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
• Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans and adapt instruction to individual needs.
• Partner with families to share progress and learning strategies.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment consistent with school values.
