Job summary

Kids N Us in Mill Creek, WA is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. No experience needed, willing to train the right person.

Primary responsibilities include creating a safe, nurturing environment, maintaining daily supervision, and building strong relationships with families and staff. The role is part-time with Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate of $17.13–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and minimum age 18.
• Must provide valid TB test results and immunization proofs.
• Proof of MMR and Covid vaccination or approved exemption.
• Valid food handlers permit and First Aid/CPR training.
• Child Care Basics course (30 hours) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
• Bring warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom daily.
• Oversee supervision and daily class functions for a group of children.
• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and staff.
• Implement school curriculum and assess developmental needs of students.
