Job summary

NORTHERN KENTUCKY COMMUNITY ACTION COMMISSION, INC is seeking an Assistant Teacher for Head Start across various locations. The role supports the Teacher, plans activities, supervises children, and helps maintain records and classroom safety.

You will work with families, recruit and train volunteers, and ensure compliance with ADA and other laws. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED; CDA certification within two years of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Interest in preschool children and volunteers.
• Willingness to obtain a CDA within two years of employment.
• Cannot employ anyone convicted of a felony or who harmed a child.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily classroom activities to meet educational needs.
• Assist in maintaining records and assessments timely and accurately.
• Supervise children in and out of the classroom and ensure safety.
• Work with parents and volunteers under Teacher guidance.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and compliance with policies.
