Job summary

The Kensington School in Richmond, TX is seeking a caring Pre-K Teacher to join our team. You will create a warm, safe classroom and deliver developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 6 months to 5 years, while supporting families with guidance and communication.

Responsibilities include light lesson planning with supervision from the Director, adherence to child care regulations, lifting up to 35 lbs, and contributing to a positive, growth‑oriented work environment with ongoing

Qualifications

• Ability to relate warmly and positively with young children.
• Prepare and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom.
• Light lesson planning with support and supervision from the Director.
• Provide developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 6 months-5 years.
• Must meet basic requirements of child care regulatory agency to maintain safe environment for children.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a school system, preschool, childcare center or church nursery preferred.
• Knowledge about the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children based on education, past work experience, or as a parent or caretaker of a child.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs to facilitate activities and ensure safety.
