Job summary

Grow Early Learning Corp. is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher in delivering a developmentally appropriate curriculum at our Newton Grove Center, Dunn, NC.

You will help foster physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young children and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment. You will communicate with families, support a collaborative teaching team, and contribute to a positive early education experience for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a state-approved training program for early childhood education.
• Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff.
• Enrollment in an associate/bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in CDA credential or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Preferred: Pre-School CDA or state equivalency.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes growth in all areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about progress and concerns.
