Job summary

La Petite Academy in Simi Valley, CA is hiring Assistant Teachers to support daily care of children in a safe, engaging classroom. You will follow licensing guidelines, observe and assess child needs, and communicate regularly with families to support learning and development.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 17.41–18.08 USD hourly pay, paid time off for full-time, and benefits including tuition assistance, 401K with company match, and child care discounts.

Qualifications

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Develop ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as communicate with families.
• Complete extensive training on childcare, preschool and child development topics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Engage with children indoors or outdoors and participate in physical activities with them.
