Apopka Child Academy is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher and Director in creating a nurturing learning environment for children. You will observe and document children’s interests, provide updates to parents and staff, and help implement developmentally appropriate activities.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to maintain a positive, safe classroom. This position typically supports a high-energy program and involves regular interaction with

Qualifications

• Must have completed 45 DCF Training hours.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with basic computer skills.
• Able to work at a high energy level and collaborate in a team environment.
• Possess Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Clear a full background check and health screening.
• Physically able to walk, use hands, and kneel/bend/crawl as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist lead teacher in designing and implementing curricula activities to engage children.
• Maintain classroom environment and manage materials and supplies.
• Communicate with parents through informal talks and progress reports.
• Model good hygiene and healthy habits for children.
• Facilitate smooth transitions between home and the center.
• Follow center policies and state regulations.
• Develop a personal professional development plan to improve quality.
