Job summary

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning seeks an Assistant Director to serve as the Center's educational leader, overseeing curriculum delivery and ensuring high-quality, safe, nurturing classrooms. You will guide Curriculum & Instruction Coaches, Lead Teachers, and Support Staff, reporting to the Center Director to shape the Center agenda and culture.

You will foster day-to-day operations, participate in pre-employment background checks, and ensure compliance with DHS/OCDEL and NAEYC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Special Education or Human Services.
• 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in people management and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in delivering high-quality, child-centered education.
• Support the teaching team in curriculum implementation and classroom safety procedures.
• Ensure classrooms and learning environments are properly equipped and maintained.
• Develop and maintain teaching staff schedules.
• Coordinate enrollment opportunities with the Family Success team.
• Oversee the delivery of child developmental assessments.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training for teaching staff.
