Job summary

The Learning Experience #428 is seeking a Preschool Assistant Director to support daily center operations, staff scheduling, enrollment and curriculum planning. You will mentor Lead Teachers and ensure the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® is applied effectively to meet children’s needs.

You will help maintain safety, compliance and proactive parent communication while collaborating with the Center Director and management team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with 12 ECE credits.
• 3 units in infant care.
• 3 units in adult supervision.
• 3 units in administration.
• 3+ years of teaching in a child care setting.
• 1 year minimum supervisory experience.
• Site Supervisor Permit preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Fingerprint clearance through The D.O.J.

Responsibilities

• Support Center Director in daily operations, including staff scheduling, enrollment, and curriculum planning.
• Mentor Lead Teachers and provide feedback to support professional growth.
• Oversee curriculum implementation of the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapting to individual child needs.
• Prioritize safety and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Communicate with parents about progress and maintain open communication.
• Address challenges and maintain a positive center atmosphere.
