Qualifications

• Proof of completion of 6+ Early Childhood Education (ECE) units OR proof of completion of at least 2 ECE units and enrollment in current ECE class, working towards 6 units.
• Fingerprint and CMG Background Clearance, CPR and First Aid, and TB test required to work in a licensed child care facility.
• Has experience teaching OR desire to teach and models Catholic values.

Responsibilities

• Assist preschool teacher in supervising and implementing the program for the class in accordance with Diocese of San Diego policies and philosophy.
• Respect and honor the needs of individual children, considering their cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Treate children with dignity and respect; help children see their roles as part of a group.
• Assist in classroom arrangement, decor, and learning environment.
• Share jointly in housekeeping responsibilities after children depart or are under supervision of another teacher.
