Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a caring Preschool Aide at St. Francis Borgia Grade School in Washington, MO.

This role supports the classroom teacher to create a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment and to nurture spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s preferred), strong communication and organizational skills, and comfort using educational technology;

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Experience working with children in educational or similar settings preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Faith Formation and integration: model Catholic values and support faith-based classroom activities.
• Instructional Support: assist with lesson plans, provide one-on-one or small-group support.
• Student Development: foster positive relationships and monitor behavior.
• Classroom Management: maintain a safe, welcoming classroom and support routines.
• Community Engagement: participate in events and service projects promoting Catholic values.
