Job summary

San Francisco Waldorf School is seeking a Preschool Aftercare Aide to support children after the morning session. You will help prepare the nap area, foster a calm, restful atmosphere, and restore the space after naps. You’ll also assist with snack preparation and cleanup to ensure a smooth late afternoon routine.

The role is part-time and hourly, with benefits including San Francisco Sick Paid Sick Leave and SF Health Care Ordinance. This position does not run through summer break.

Qualifications

• Waldorf training preferred (or in process).
• 6 ECEs completed (or in process).
• Experience working with young children.
• Red Cross/CPR First Aid certification/Medicine Administration training (classes offered during Faculty workdays).
• Maintain knowledge of school policies: earthquake/evacuation procedures and first aid kit location/use.

Responsibilities

• Help set up the classroom for nap time.
• Help create a mood of rest and quiet.
• Help restore the room to order after nap.
• Assist with snack preparation and clean-up.
• Daily check of pickup times with parent/guardian signatures.
