The 4-Day Preschool Lead Teacher reports to the Instructional Facilitator or the person designated by the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
Classroom Days :
Tuesday-Friday 8:30 am - 11:45 am
Preparation and Communication :
The Lead Teacher has the flexibility to work from home to handle communication and preparation outside of classroom hours.
Benefits :
- Salaried position (pay on the 28th of each month, August-May)
- Paid Continuing Education for six contact hours annually
- Eight paid personal days off

Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in education or 1500+ contact hours working with children (required)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s in Education or Early Childhood Education; consideration given to associate’s degrees, certifications, or higher degrees
- CPR & First Aid Certified (training provided if needed)
- Safe Gatherings Certified (training provided if needed)
- Passion for teaching children about Christ
- Empathy, compassion, adaptability, cooperation, organizational skills, and effective communication
- Alignment with the mission: "To help each child grow physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually."
Job Responsibilities :
- Plan and prepare educational activities and lessons
- Ensure a safe, nurturing environment
- Communicate regularly with families via updates and newsletters
- Manage snack calendars and toy rotations
- Promote positive behavior and monitor child behavior
- Collaborate with parents and staff on curriculum and child progress
- Maintain certifications and attend preschool events
- Utilize diverse teaching methods and resources
- Model Christian behavior and support professional development
Note :
Pay is monthly from August to May. Employees may be assigned other duties as needed, and accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities. All duties are essential and may be modified as necessary.
