Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• Knowledge of behavioral and developmental stages of children.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to manage a classroom with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschoolers.
• Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning through play.
• Incorporate language-rich activities, storytelling, and early literacy into daily routines.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety of materials and play areas.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing progress and updates on child development.
