Armor is seeking a highly capable presales Solution Consultant to guide customers toward Armor’s private cloud and MDR solutions. You will translate customer needs into technical designs, demos, and actionable plans that ensure the promised outcomes are achieved.

This is a remote position in the United States with a strong preference for Dallas-based candidates. You’ll engage with sales prospects, current customers, and partners, delivering technical wins through cloud and security expertise,

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Cloud or Security Sales Engineering / Solution Consulting.
  • Strong cloud expertise across public and private cloud environments.
  • Hands-on presales experience with MDR / managed security solutions, with SIEM/EDR/XDR knowledge.

Armor is seeking a highly capable individual who possesses the technical knowledge and customer-centricity to guide companies towards enhanced resilience, compliance, and protection utilizing Armor’s private cloud and MDR solutions.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for engaging with sales prospects, current customers, and partners as a technical expert. You’ll seek to understand customer pain through intelligent conversations, curiosity and empathy for their situation. You’ll analyze customer requirements and understand their use cases and desired outcomes. You’ll craft Armor solutions and services that meet their needs and develop actionable plans and strategies to achieve their use cases. You’ll then support your customers through onboarding to ensure that their solution is properly implemented and the promised outcomes are achieved.

This is a remote position based in the US; however, there is a strong preference for Dallas-based individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Additional duties may be assigned as required.)

  • Be a thought leader within the company and the industry, helping bring an expert and future-forward focus to our customers.
  • Provide technical leadership on security, compliance, and risk management solutions based on Armor Enterprise Cloud and MDR solutions.
  • Support the sales process by demonstrating the value of Armor products and services to achieve technical wins.
  • Architect a modern, effective, and appropriate solution for customers utilizing an optimal combination of Armor services and software.
  • Provide opinionated responses to customers and help guide them towards the correct solution when they express technical wishes that will not achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Document solutions and their advantages within RFP responses, proposals, SOWs or other documentation as required.
  • Act as a technical expert and partner with Armor prospects and customers to help them understand how Armor can deliver their desired outcomes and why Armor’s solution is superior to our competitors.
  • Provide thought leadership by representing Armor in community engagement at industry and partner conferences, webinars, executive briefings, and other events as applicable
  • Act as an SME internally, with customers, and with partner sellers and staff.
  • Provide active feedback and recommendations from the field to Armor leadership on solutions to improve Armor service offerings and overall service levels and customer engagement.
  • Develop technical enablement in the form of workshops including materials, demos, and product/service integration when appropriate
  • Stay current with the latest developments in, Security, Hypervisors, Cloud, and infrastructure as well as industry best practices.
  • Mentor and guide peers, team members, and junior consultants as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 5+ years of Cloud or Security Sales Engineering / Solution Consulting experience, with demonstrated ability to partner with Account Executives as a technical seller.
  • Strong cloud expertise across public and private cloud environments, including cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, and implementation.
  • Hands-on presales experience with MDR / managed security solutions, with a strong understanding of threat detection and response concepts and related technologies such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOC operations.
  • Strong cybersecurity and compliance knowledge, with the ability to translate customer security, risk, and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong customer-facing presales skills, including technical discovery, solution design, demos/presentations, proposals/SOWs, and communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • 7+ years of overall cloud technology experience.
  • Experience with private cloud/hypervisor technologies, such as VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or similar.
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies, particularly Sentinel, Defender XDR, or Defender for Cloud.
  • Experience with security and compliance requirements in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or critical infrastructure.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
