Job summary

Vertiv in the United States seeks a Presales Thermal Engineer HVAC to join the Infrastructure Solutions team during early customer engagement. You will design HVAC architectures, read RFPs, and coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical and controls teams to deliver system-level solutions.

You will produce technical proposals for Modular Data Center solutions and provide HVAC design documents. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3+ years in new product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years in new product development as an individual contributor.
• Dimensioning and specification of HVAC equipment and installations.
• Knowledge of CFD tools and modeling.
• Active English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents.
• Reading and understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team.
• Concept design of HVAC architecture and equipment.
• Understanding codes and standards for HVAC equipment and installations.
• CAD Modeling.
• Coordination with architectural, structural, electrical, controls, and fire protection.
• Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.
• Communication with customers to propose the best solution.
• Making technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers.
• Providing HVAC design documents.
• Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions.
• Support SA and sales team.
