Job summary

Amherst Label, part of Inovar Packaging Group, seeks a Prepress Technician to prepare customer files for Flexographic and Digital printing, including trapping, stepping, and distortion. The role demands meticulous proofreading and barcode verification, working closely with management, prepress, production, and customer service teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
• Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
• Client-focused communication and interpersonal skills.
• Legal to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer files for Flexographic and Digital printing (trapping, stepping, distortion).
• Perform preflight on customer files.
• Maintain clear communication with Management, Prepress, Production, and Customer Service.
• Proofread all content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
• Perform barcode verification to maintain quality standards.
• Order and manage storage of Flexographic plates.
