Job summary

MCC in York, PA is seeking a Print Tool Technician to help ensure efficient press production. You will ensure tools, plates, and screens are ready when needed and communicate with the production team to minimize downtime.

You will maintain logs, follow QA procedures, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Onsite training and a robust benefits package are provided to support your contribution and growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical info into tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; Radius software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including logging in and out of time worked.
• Complies with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Make flexographic/litho plates & rotary screens.
• QA checklists completion for plates/screens.
• Maintain Plate and Screen Tracking Logs.
• Verify Plate Envelope information is correct.
• Clean and maintain platemaking and screen rooms and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Coordinate plate priorities with Scheduling/Graphics teams.
• Maintain press-priorities and mark job completion or flags.
• Participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement teams.
• Attend department meetings and internal training.
• Participate in special projects and other duties.

The Print Tool Technician is responsible for performing all duties outlined in this job description, as well as any additional assignments provided by the Prepress Graphics Manager, Lead, or Plant Manager. This role is essential to ensuring efficient printing production by guaranteeing that the appropriate tools are available when required by the press and by maintaining timely communication with the production team to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing preventive maintenance in accordance to set schedule and need

• Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extendedtime frames

• Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly. Includes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl and kneel as needed
