Job summary

PPC-Flex seeks a Graphic Production Artist to support production of flexible packaging. You will prepare digital art files for print, assemble pre-flight packages, and ensure dieline accuracy while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in information inputs.
• Flexographic printing experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Apple, Adobe (PDF, Illustrator, Photoshop), ESKO and Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) platforms required.
• Able to read and understand work orders and provide direction to Graphics Suppliers.
• Capable of mathematical calculations and using a tape measure.
• Flexible to address dynamic priorities for customers, Sales, and production schedules.
• Good verbal and written communication; teamwork and project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks software/hardware at shift start and end; documents housekeeping and contacts IT for issues.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area.
• Prepares digital art files for Flexographic, Offset and Digital printing.
• Follows instructions to assemble art files for print production and resolves potential issues.
• Receives or posts files on PPC platform or other transit system.
• Evaluates art files for print-ready quality (pre-flight) and adjusts to dieline specs.
• Assembles pre-flight files and uses master templates for efficiency and consistency.
• Adheres to Quality Control procedures and communicates with Graphics Suppliers.
• Collaborates with Graphics team to meet proofs and production schedules.
• Assists with signage, documents and promotional materials as needed.
• Keeps up with software/hardware upgrades to improve workflows.
• Covers time for other Graphics team members during vacations or sick days.
