  • Attention to detail and quality control across files, adherence to brand guidelines and specs.
  • Collaborative communication with design, account, and production teams; handle feedback and revisions.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in prepress, packaging, or print production; global or multi-brand programs is a plus.

Role Description

The Prepress Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Frisco, TX. This role is responsible for preparing and optimizing artwork files for print production, including checking, correcting, and converting client-supplied files into press-ready formats. Day-to-day tasks include color management, trapping, imposition, and proof creation, as well as verifying that files meet print specifications and brand guidelines. The Prepress Operator collaborates with designers, account teams, and production staff to troubleshoot issues, ensure accurate packaging layouts, and maintain quality and consistency across projects. The role also involves using industry-standard prepress and design software, maintaining organized file structures, and meeting production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications


  • Strong proficiency with prepress and design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat; prepress RIP and workflow tools).

  • Knowledge of print processes and packaging production (e.g., offset, flexo, digital printing; color separations, trapping, imposition, dielines).

  • Attention to detail and quality control skills, including file checking, proof review, and adherence to brand guidelines and technical specifications.

  • Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with design, account management, and production teams, and managing feedback and revisions.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Relevant experience in prepress, packaging, or print production; experience with global or multi-brand programs is an advantage.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or degree in Graphic Communications, Printing Technology, or related field preferred.
