Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Katy, TX is seeking Team Members for the Prepared Foods team to support preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products. You will help create a positive shopping experience by being courteous, friendly, and efficient.

The role involves serving hot and cold foods, assisting with inventory and displays, and following health and safety standards. You will join a team that emphasizes customer service, proper product rotation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Hand use: gripping, manipulation, pushing/pulling.
• Able to bend, twist, squat, reach as part of duties.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures from freezing to hot.
• Able to work in wet and dry conditions.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Use of knives, box cutters, pallet jacks and heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks cases and displays with prepared foods.
• Rotates stock and checks dates for freshness.
• Assists with inventory checks and seasonal displays.
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs promptly.
• Ensures proper signs and pricing and maintains clean, safe workspace.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
