Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking entry-level Team Members to support the Prepared Foods team with preparation, counter service, sanitation and stocking of products. You will engage customers, maintain cleanliness, and follow health and safety standards on the floor.

The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service, teamwork, and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Candidates should be reliable, eager to learn, and able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods.
• Checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary.
• Bails and consolidates recyclables.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper merchandising and storage.
