Description

Job Summary: Prepare, display, and/or package soups, salads and entrees from furnished recipes; inventory, store, price, and restock merchandise in department. Interact with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Wait on customers at the counter, takes orders.
  2. Weigh, wrap or package prepared foods, and affix sticker showing price and weight.
  3. Stock product to give a full pleasing appearance on shelves and cases. Ensure rotation of items so that product closest to pull date is displayed in front of shelf.
  4. Price product and make price changes in accordance with standard procedures to reflect cost of goods and margin requirements.
  5. May prepare some recipes.
  6. Clean assigned areas to maintain safe and sanitary conditions. Clean shelves, bins, tables, coolers and floor on a regularly scheduled basis. Wash hands frequently and/or use flexible gloves.
  7. Consult with Food Service Manager on planning and execution of resetting of sections to accommodate new products or to discontinue slower-selling items.
Qualifications

Qualifications: High School or Equivalent. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in food service. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on regular basis.

Attendance Requirements: Flexible hours, including weekend and evening shifts. Availability of seven days a week as scheduled according to department needs.
