All retail team members perform functions related to food preparation and maintenance of the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality, presentation, stocking, and sanitation. Employees must provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service, adhere to store procedures, and support company values, programs, and safety regulations, including food safety standards.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare food items for various display areas according to production sheets and recipes, ensuring quality and consistency.
2. Label, date, cover, monitor, and rotate all prepared items to maintain freshness.
3. Replenish food levels timely and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment.
4. Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly, and support sales through proper merchandising and suggestive selling techniques.
5. Follow safety, health, and sanitation procedures, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
6. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties, including accurate signage and pricing.
7. Report safety hazards and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

1. Thorough product knowledge and ability to follow recipes.
2. Understanding of food production, cooking techniques, and basic math skills.

Desired Work Experiences

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours.
• Use of hands for grasping and manipulation; bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 90°F.
• Work in wet and dry conditions, flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Use of tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, and heavy machinery; may require ladder use.
