Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a prepared foods team member to service customers, fill orders, and ensure the freshest products across salad bar, sandwich area, hot foods and beverage bar. Training will be provided, with opportunities to assist in Deli and Meat departments and grow into leadership roles.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer-first attitude, and a drive to grow within the company. Eligible employees may receive health-related benefits and a range of store discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience 0 to 6 months.
• No High School diploma required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers and ensuring orders are filled to meet expectations.
• Learn about products to answer questions and make suggestions to enhance shopping experience.
• Smile and greet customers throughout the store.
• Handle products and equipment following food safety guidelines.
• Replenish products in prepared foods, rotate and check code dating procedures.
• Record special orders on prepared foods accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of department and back room.
• Assist in unloading deliveries to maintain efficiency of prepared foods cooler and freezer.
• Rotate and check date codes to ensure customer safety.
• Assist in other departments as required.
