Job summary

Cumberland Auto Center is seeking a dedicated Prep Washer to thoroughly clean and prepare vehicles for delivery, service appointments, photography, or showroom display. You will help ensure every vehicle meets quality standards and presents well to customers.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and the capacity to operate a pressure washer and hand tools. A valid driver's license and punctuality are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and detail exterior and interior of vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs).
• Pre-wash vehicles prior to full detailing or service work.
• Dry vehicles by hand, remove water spots, ensure streak-free finish.
• Vacuum interiors, clean windows, wipe surfaces, remove debris.
• Assist with prepping vehicles for lot display and online photos.
• Maintain cleanliness of wash bay and work area.
• Safely move vehicles around the lot and service areas.
• Follow dealership safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Assist the detail team and service department as needed.
• Report vehicle damage or management concerns immediately.

Position Summary

The Prep Washer is responsible for thoroughly cleaning, washing, and preparing vehicles for customer delivery, service appointments, photography, or showroom display. This role ensures each vehicle meets dealership quality standards and provides an exceptional presentation for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and detail the exterior and interior of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Pre-wash vehicles prior to full detailing or service work.
• Dry vehicles by hand, remove water spots, and ensure a streak-free finish.
• Vacuum interiors, clean windows, wipe down surfaces, and remove debris.
• Assist with prepping vehicles for lot display and online photos.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the wash bay and work area.
• Safely move vehicles around the lot and service areas.
• Follow all dealership safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Assist the detail team and service department as needed.
• Report any vehicle damage or management concerns immediately.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Must be able to operate pressure washers and hand tools.
