Description
Responsible for assisting with all of club’s food production and any activities consistent with kitchen operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure member and guest satisfaction
- Ensure appropriate food preparation and readiness for all banquet/private dining events and ala carte operations
- Prepare and properly garnish all food orders in accordance to menu specifications
- Prepare soups, sauces, vegetables, and starches, hot entrees, for ala carte, buffets, private dining and banquets.
- Present food using presentation techniques in a timely manner.
- Coordinate completion of menu items with servers
- Set up for meal periods by ensuring that stations are set up based upon anticipation volume in a timely fashion
- Ensure all food product is being handled and stored according to state laws and regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining appearance and cleanliness of kitchen, back dock, basement food and equipment storage areas; Ensure all equipment is clean, meeting sanitation standards set forth by state laws and regulations and properly maintained
- Responsible for cleaning, stocking, and organizing food and beverage equipment, china, glass, and silver.
- See that operating procedures are done in a safe manner, not endangering staff, members, guests, or themselves
- Represent Boonsboro Country Club with a positive and professional image
- Ensure that a quick and appropriate response is given regarding any negative comments from members and guests
- Responsible for attending all required meetings
- Always check with your supervisor before leaving the premises.
- Adhere to all various written standards of operations within Boonsboro Country Club policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Culinary experience in food preparation and cooking
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling practices
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment
- Familiarity with meal preparation and food service operations
- Experience in catering and serving is a plus
- Knowledge of dietary department functions and menu planning is advantageous
