Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-12 months experience in surface preparation or related role preferred.
• Defense manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal, plastic and other materials by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking to remove dirt and contaminants.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, skids, or conveyors.
• Inspect materials for surface imperfections before starting.
• Apply primer and topcoats to touch up surfaces.
• Maintain prep equipment and ensure proper functioning of sanders, grinders and spray booths.
• Work with painters and quality control to meet specifications.
• Utilize MRP systems to manage schedules and materials.
