Spectrum Metalcraft, a Vortex Company, is seeking a dedicated Prep Paint Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift (4:30 pm - 3:30 am). If you like working with your hands, this hands-on role will have you prepping product components, including tasks like sanding, polishing, buffing, grinding, and retouching, to ensure a flawless finish. You'll also mix and blend colors to meet our high standards for both quality and appearance. Key Responsibilities:
- Performing assigned product prepping and finishing tasks
- Prepping and adding finishing touches to the appearance of product components
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring the finish of parts and components is of the highest standard
- Optimizing production efficiency by the upkeeping and or maintenance of equipment, tooling, and work area
- Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time
- Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
This position requires working 40 hours regularly from Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm to 3:30 am with the possibility of Overtime if required.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical Training and/or work experience painting parts preferred
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs independently if required
- Experience in Powder Coat Painting is not required but complimentary
Complimentary Qualifications:
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to read blueprints comfortably and ensure products meet company quality standards.
- Ability to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and move from one project to the next with minimal supervision.

I further understand that my employment with Salina Vortex will have a sixty (60) days benefit waiting period, and further that at any time during the waiting period or thereafter, my employment relation with Salina Vortex is terminable at will for any reason by either party.
