Job summary

PureCycle is seeking an experienced PreP Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair industrial production equipment at our Denver, PA site. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, read schematics, perform welding and fabrication, and support safety and uptime initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related maintenance role.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, grinders, drills, impacts, presses, and other shop equipment.
  • Ability to read and apply technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Welding, cutting, fabrication, and metal repair experience.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA safety practices, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and safe work procedures.
  • Comfortable working at heights and operating aerial lift equipment, including boom lifts and scissor lifts, in accordance with site safety requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete repairs accurately and safely.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and respond to changing production needs.
  • Good communication skills with supervisors, operators, vendors, and maintenance team members.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, vehicles, and support equipment according to established schedules.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical failures to minimize production downtime.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, drives, chains, belts, rollers, guards, and related industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems on machinery and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and basic fabrication to repair or improve equipment and components.
  • Service and repair diesel engines, forklifts, mobile equipment, and other facility vehicles as needed.
  • Perform basic HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general facility maintenance repairs.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and shop equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support operations during production delays or downtime events.
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Complete work orders, inspection records, maintenance logs, and parts usage documentation accurately.
  • Communicate work status, equipment concerns, repair needs, and safety issues to supervisors and operations personnel.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, parts, and maintenance storage areas.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, hot work rules, and plant policies.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, safety, uptime, and maintenance efficiency.

Role Overview

The PreP Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial production equipment and facility systems. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and assisting with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, fabrication, and facility maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on mechanical ability, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role requires a practical problem-solver who can prioritize work, communicate clearly with operations and supervision, and help reduce downtime through effective maintenance practices.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, vehicles, and support equipment according to established schedules.
