Job Overview

The Springs Resort and Spa in Pagosa Springs, CO, is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Prep/Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Responsibilities
Prep Cook Duties
  • Wash, peel, chop, dice, and portion ingredients as directed.
  • Prepare sauces, stocks, and other foundational components of dishes.
  • Label, store, and rotate ingredients following FIFO principles.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas and equipment.
Line Cook Duties
  • Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and standards.
  • Work efficiently at your designated station (grill, sauté, fry, pantry, etc.).
  • Keep your workstation clean and organized, including tools and knives.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Monitor food quality and make adjustments as needed.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a culinary role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
