Job summary

Hard Eight BBQ is seeking a kitchen teammate to prepare Texas-style BBQ for to-go, pickup, line, delivery and catering orders. You will work at a steady pace, communicate with line staff about readiness, and help pre‑stage items for the next day.

Responsibilities include heating and stocking food, cleaning, and assisting in the pit area; certifications and proper food handling are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Texas Food Handlers certification.
• Familiarity with hot and cold food preparation and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold food items for to-go, pickup, line, delivery and catering orders.
• Maintains communication with line/to-go staff and management about order and ready times.
• Cooks items to prepare for future needs and assists in line and pit areas.
• Washes dishes and cleans work areas; organizes walk-in cooler and freezer.
• Reads catering, pickup, and to-go orders and takes steps to prepare required food.
