Job summary

Delaware North is hiring full-time and part-time Prep Cooks to join the Wheeling Island Casino team in Wheeling, West Virginia. You will prepare food to specifications, communicate with the chef, and maintain sanitation and inventory while supporting a fast-paced kitchen environment.

No formal experience or diploma is required, and candidates must be able to handle lifting 50 lbs and work varied shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations, complying with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, and label, date, and wrap food products in accordance with ServSafe procedures
• Communicate with chef for any instructions or training
• Uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations and follow all safety, security, and kitchen procedures
• Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end‑of‑day inventory in accordance with guidelines
