Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the heart-of-house team in preparing hot and cold meals and ingredients, ensuring quality, consistency, and proper food production. Interacts with employees and supervisors courteously to ensure excellent hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Anticipate and accommodate team members' needs.
  2. Handle food by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipes.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of station, kitchen, and venue.
  4. Label and store products following FIFO and company standards.
  5. Check production lists and assignments.
  6. Follow instructions from supervisors and support co-workers as a team player.
  7. Possess knowledge of recipes and produce to company standards.
  8. Comply with sanitation standards.
  9. Communicate product needs to the culinary team.
  10. Set up prep stations and perform opening/closing procedures as directed.
  11. Report equipment or furniture damage immediately.
  12. Participate in pre-service meetings and training sessions.
  13. Learn through listening, observing, and sharing knowledge.
  14. Maintain a positive, professional attitude.
  15. Understand Tao Group Hospitality’s brand and environment.
  16. Work collaboratively and support fellow team members.
  17. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Experience:

Previous culinary experience preferred; experience as a prep or line cook in high-volume settings is a plus.

Skills & Physical Demands:
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to move quickly and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Work in noisy, smoky environments, with exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning materials.
  • Work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
