Job summary

FISD is hiring immediately for a full-time Prep Cook at Gaston Christian School, Gastonia, NC. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Requires at least five years of cooking experience.

The fixed pay rate is $17.50 per hour, with free meals and uniforms/laundry at select locations. Internal referral bonuses are available. As part of Flik Independent School Dining, you’ll prepare meals from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5 years of cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to recipes and production sheets.
• Tastes meals to ensure quality and adheres to HACCP guidelines.
• Operates and cleans equipment per procedures after use.
• Takes and serves orders from steam tables and grills at multiple stations.
