Purpose

The prep cook prepares ingredients, sauces, parboiled food, and simple dishes.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all hot and cold foods
  • Follow prep sheets and communicate with chefs
  • Wrap, label, and store food properly
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
  • Assist chefs and communicate with staff to meet guest needs
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Complete assigned duties efficiently
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license
  • 18+ years old
  • Relevant experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Knowledge of food storage, safety, and sanitation
  • Effective communication skills in English
Working Conditions
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments with varying conditions
  • Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting
  • Shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Long periods of walking and standing
  • Use of hands and arms for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Mobility to climb stairs, kneel, crouch, and crawl
